BOAG helps its clients develop buildings not only for the users of today, but also for the users of tomorrow. And to empower these users to make the most of a building, we also go for top quality and sustainable materials wherever possible.
Quality and sustainability are also at the forefront of our mind, in all facets of our services. BOAG’s quality management system is ISO 9001 certified and includes an environmental management system. We are also a member of the Dutch Green Building Council, the organisation that works to move the built environment towards sustainability. Quality and sustainability are fixed elements of our operations.
BOAG continuously aims to improve its environmental performance. At the office, we have adopted habits to make our practices as sustainable as possible: we always print on both sides of a piece of paper, we separate our waste, and we have an electronic archive. Implementation of further sustainability measures is something that we permanently pursue.
Corporate social responsibility is something that can be pursued on various levels and also depends on the client’s possibilities and requirements. In our consulting services, BOAG targets energy efficiency and adopts circular thinking wherever possible. If there is one challenge we never back down from it is to find effective and affordable solutions. We have in-house sustainability and circular economy expertise, as well as knowledge of a range of sustainability and energy efficiency standards and quality marks – BREEAM, WELL, NOM, BENG, ‘Frisse Scholen’ (healthy and energy-efficient school buildings), and the C energy rating for office buildings. Our sustainability experts and BREEAM assessors can help our clients with targeted advice or an objective assessment of sustainable construction or redevelopment plans from the inception of the initial idea right through to running the resulting building.
To guarantee our continuity as a business, we deliberately focus our activities on creating value in the area of the environment and well-being, both of society as a whole and of our employees. BOAG wants to create a working environment where employees can stay healthy and committed, and that gives them opportunities for personal and professional development. In late 2018, we launched the sustainable employability initiative, which is funded partly by the European Social Fund. By promoting a culture of learning through training and coaching, engaging in continuous dialogue with employees, and amplifying employees’ (project) responsibility, employees are empowered to work to their full potential and realise your, our, and their own ambitions.
